Today is my brother's 56th birthday. It has been over seven years since
he has seen the sun, held his loved ones, or filled a room with his
unique laughter. Daniel Patrick Sheehan, my brother, was needlessly and
savagely murdered on June 8th, 2000. As a taxi driver, he had picked up
a fare in the small town of Casa Grande, Arizona around 11:00 p.m. The
two animals in the skins of human he had picked up subdued him,
abducted him, and robbed him of his life. Michael Edward Anita and Dale

An open letter to the current Taoiseach of Ireland regarding the M-3 motorway scheme.
An Open Letter To Bertie Ahern
Dear Mr. Ahern,
With All Due Respect,
I have watched, since the Autumn of 2005, the continuing battle over the M3 motorway in the Tara/Skryne (Gabhra) Valley. I first became acquainted with the issue whilst my husband and I were on our way to the Dublin Airport the last day of our visit. It was t…

Dear Sir or Madam,
I continue to be alarmed by the activities of the Irish government as
regards the M-3 and other roadways being built in Ireland, and which
are causing irreparable damage to the honor and memory of our
ancestors. This morning I was acquainted with the fact that seven
valued and highly respected protesters who were arrested last week at
the Hill of Tara were granted bail under the condition that they
refrain from protecting the history of this ancient an…

Near Death Experiences can be called many different things. Some call it Kundalini, The Awakening, Cosmic Consciousness, The Opening of the Third Eye, etc.
There are many elements which could induce an NDE. Death, surgery,
hallucinogens, gravity, meditation, seizures, out-of body
experiences, coma, dreams, alien abduction, relaxation, falling, etc.
Whatever the NDE is, I for one know that it is real.

Some years ago I read a book "The Physics of Consciousness". It presents ideas, theories, and proposed explanations about how consciousness may emerge and manifest through electrical, chemical, and
quantum process in our brains. In one section the book examines the
visual processing of our b

Being Stalked On The Internet
Have you ever experienced the sensation of being watched but, when you
look around you, no one is there? Yet, there is the distinct lingering
presence of energy which is not your own. Perhaps there are subtle
hints dropped by the watcher, or possibly not so subtle ones, such as a
publicly viewable defaming website. If this happens repeatedly, it
might lead you to believe that you are being stalked. What reason could
the stalker possibly have to watch you?…

As I dreamed you were, I saw myself as I am. A sentient being, a transient of time, one of the flickering lights of substance. You were there, walking on the path beside the
river that I flowed in, small particles of myself scattered about the
shiny reflections of the water. The path was nothing special, just
another place where we could have met. As you walked along the path,
you picked up a small stone. It looked like any other stone that
could have been on the b

I did the only thing I could do. I let my light shine. Full of awe, pulsing
with the rhythm of wonder. Each photon carrying the message of my
being. A note to you as to where I am and how to find me. Unfortunately
it is in my language.
After some time, enough photons were emitted that they began to form clumps.

SomeWhere, SomeTime, SomeThing happened. Not the usual nothing in the timeless
nowhere. Not even the everything in the eternal everywhere produced
such an unusual happening except maybe once. Gathering my wits about
me, I set out, myself together in a storm. The way before me lay
covered and hidden from eyes that see. So faint their echo. What dance
thus laid this path, I wondered to myself. Was it me in another place

Today is my Mothers birthday. She would have been eighty years old. I wonder what
she would have looked like, and how she would have felt about all the
changes that have occurred in our world in the last thirty-five
years. My children never had the opportunity to meet their
Grandmother, my grandchildren their Great-Grandmother. My husband
never sat with her, discussing life and philosophy with the woman who
was his

During the course of our study of cyber-stalkers, we joined several on line art communities. Our interaction with the members of these sites were documented and have since been published by us. After joining one such site, we were invited to join an exclusive membership on an art forum by a former member of the site.
The following profile was used by one of the cyber-stalkers, who was a member of both that particular artist site and the art forum. This was an attempt to intimidate us af…

It can be difficult to find words that convey
exactly what we mean. This is especially true of emotional and
passionate topics. This is what makes for great poetry, a great story,
a great drama. Characters and situations that are believable can give
us insight into our own lives and thoughts. Even allowing us to see
into areas hidden by our cultural and personal biases. The other aspect
of a great story is the stage upon which it is enacted. A small private
club encourages…

What would you do if you had conducted a study of online bullying and stalking, and during the course of the study, test published the first draft papers on the Internet, which contained actual e-mails ( not explicitly marked as private ) from the one of the people studied, along with other documentation. Suppose that prior to publishing, you dropped a bit a honey for these with the new web address, subconsciously inviting them to take a sneak peek. After the test publishing you received an e-ma…

On a night such as this, it was then that I sat crouched over my
warming stove. I listened in awe to the sounds coming from just beyond
the trees. My cottage was small, aye, but comfortable and clean. I was
kept safe within when the harsh weather set in.
Sitting in a glen hidden between the ancient hills of Ostara, I waited
for the coming of the Growth. I always knew it by the sounds it made,
soft gruntings at first, then slowly becoming louder, almost as if
female, the sc…

We have recently conducted a study of “Cyberbullies” which we are in
the process of publishing on the Internet. Tom was stalked online as
early as 1994, and since mid-2006, we have been stalked by a group of
artistic “Cyberbullies” whose intent is to slander and defame us. We
found their behaviors interesting and somewhat stereotypical of similar
behaviors in society and groups, which is why we did the research on
the cyber version.
The incidents are becoming increasingly common…

Recently, John Seigenthaler Sr., who was an administrative assistant to
Robert Kennedy, was accused of having been involved in the
assassinations of the Kennedy brothers. This man was one of the pall
bearers at Robert Kennedy's funeral. The inflammatory content was
deleted from Wikipedia after Mr. Seigenthaler contacted the company.
"Wikipedia is a flawed and irresponsible research tool," Seigenthaler
wrote.
The problem involved with an on-line encyclopedia is that we have no

In the beginning, before there was any free time to spend on things,
there was STUFF. Not just stuff but STUFF like stuff found in dreams
and fantasy. It was good STUFF and seemed rather like whipped cream to
me except that it was like a liquid changing forms constantly. It was
the Great Glob of STUFF. Once upon a time, a small and insignificant
creature named Quarky appeared seemingly out of nowhere, sort of like
the rabbit in the hat trick. The little guy took a bite of the STUFF
and sa…

The changes in Internet usage during the years 1970-1980 were
tremendous in their impact on information and technology. Back then
modems were the only option for most users. Time was more important
than content. As the Internet evolved, it transformed from an academic,
scientific, military, and government system into a free for all,
anything goes, wild wild web for consumers. The great equalizer became
the great new world. All the societal ills soon became representative
on the Internet.…
